Collaboration between campus police departments and their municipal police partners has always been important, especially around major events and criminal investigations. However, as colleges and universities work to safely reopen their campuses during the COVID-19 pandemic and protests over police reform, inter-agency relationships are more crucial than ever.
To explore the public safety issues facing college towns and campuses today, PERF – in collaboration with the Tempe, AZ and Arizona State University Police Departments – is hosting a 90-minute, facilitated discussion. Municipal and campus police leaders from six jurisdictions throughout the country will share some of the challenges they are facing and how they are addressing them.
