The College of Lake County Public Safety Department was formed in the mid-1970s and in 2005 was reclassified as the College of Lake County Police Department. The department is comprised of nineteen (19) sworn full-time officers and twelve (12) civilian employees. Police Officers, Community Service Officers and Dispatchers are represented by the Fraternal Order of Police. Two functioning telecommunications positions provide 24/7 communications and monitor 400 security cameras throughout the three campus locations: Grayslake, Lakeshore (Waukegan) and Southlake (Vernon Hills). Salary: $102,100 to $114,650 depending on qualifications with excellent benefits.
