The City of Westminster is seeking an experienced law enforcement professional with demonstrated leadership capabilities. The ideal candidate will be an inspirational, service-minded individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to listen. The top candidate will be an individual who is empathetic, compassionate, respectful, honest, and ethical and will possess the highest levels of integrity. Candidates must possess equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in criminal justice, police science, public administration, or a related field., and seven (7) years management and/or administrative experience in police service. A current rank of Captain or equivalent is highly desirable. A master’s degree is desirable. The monthly salary range for the Police Chief extends to $16,910; dependent upon qualifications.
