Amanda Barber

 

Amanda Barber joined PERF as a Senior Research Assistant in March 2019.  In this position, she supports a variety of projects including officer suicide prevention, pretrial release practices, and improving the law enforcement response to sexual assault and domestic violence.  Prior to PERF, Amanda worked as a Research Analyst for one of the nation’s largest plaintiff litigation firms, Motley Rice LLC, focusing on victims of international terrorism and human rights violations.  Before that, she spent five years working as a terrorism analyst for SAIC supporting government agencies through the analysis of digital media, identification of high value target leads, dissemination of information to both domestic and foreign entities, and briefing office capabilities to US and foreign partners.  Amanda holds a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Marymount University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Averett University.
